Piano lessons for children

In piano lessons for children, fun comes first. We start by listening and playing, not with dry music theory from a book. As soon as a child discovers that making sound is fun, we calmly build on that. Every child gets songs they love, from film music to their own compositions.

Lessons in Dutch, English, Arabic.

Frequently asked questions about piano lessons for children

From what age can my child start?
Most children start around the age of six, but that's not a strict limit. During the trial lesson I can quickly tell whether a child is ready to start or whether it's better to wait a little longer.
What if my child becomes less motivated after a while?
That's part of learning and no reason to stop. We switch repertoire, play different music than planned for a while, or slow the pace down a little. Motivation usually comes back as soon as it's fun again.
Do I need my own piano to get started?
Not right away. For the first few months, a keyboard with touch-sensitive keys (also called touch response) is enough. I'm happy to advise you on this during the trial lesson, based on what you have at home.
Which languages do you teach in?
I teach in Dutch, English and Arabic. Together we choose the language that works best for you or your child.
What does the trial lesson cost?
Nothing. The trial lesson lasts half an hour and is a chance to get to know each other and find out what suits you. There's no commitment.
